1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how petitFlight ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the App works.

This Policy is designed to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

2. We Collect No Personal Data

The App does not collect, store (on any server), transmit, or share any personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or contacts;
  • Precise or approximate location;
  • Device identifiers (such as advertising ID or IMEI);
  • Usage analytics or crash reporting data;
  • Photos, files, or other on-device content.

The App integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs and makes no network requests during use (the Android build requests no internet permission at all).

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device Only

To provide game functionality, the following data is stored exclusively on your device (via SharedPreferences on Android and NSUserDefaults on iOS) and is never uploaded or synced to any server:

  • Game saves: progress for each scenario;
  • Local leaderboard: the nickname you optionally enter upon completing a scenario, together with your completion weeks and time, used solely for on-device ranking;
  • Language preference: your chosen interface language;
  • Tutorial status: whether the tutorial has been skipped or completed.

You remain in full control of this data:

  • The leaderboard nickname is voluntary and can be any text — a real name is never required;
  • You can reset a scenario's save from within the App at any time;
  • Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all local data — no copy remains on any server.

4. Permissions

The App requests no sensitive system permissions (no internet, location, contacts, camera, microphone, or storage access).

5. In-App Purchases

The current version is completely free and contains no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or advertising. Should future versions introduce paid content packs, payments will be processed by the App Store / Google Play platforms and this policy will be updated accordingly; the App itself will never have access to your payment information.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 — in fact, it collects no data from any user, regardless of age.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and note the effective date on the store listing. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
